“We adore chaos because we love to produce order.”
— M.C. Escher
My connection with art and design began at an early age, with weekly classes on Saturday mornings at the Toledo Museum of Art in Toledo, Ohio. The variety of pieces within the collection opened my eyes to differing styles and aesthetic sensitivities around the world. I was also the beneficiary of the tremendous arts curriculum provided by Sylvania Schools and design methodologies from Bowling Green State University and University of Cincinnati—gaining further awareness and experience with art and design.
I’ve come to see that my work in the fine arts and my professional practice are in constant conversation with each other. Each shapes and strengthens the other. Art is never about playing it safe. It’s about stepping beyond the familiar. When we take creative risks, we open ourselves to the possibility that there isn’t just one right answer, but many.
I continue to create artwork—focusing primarily on acrylic painting and landscape photography—a selection of which is displayed below. Most recently, I have delved into the world of Artificial Intelligence and exploring artwork generators.
