Fine Art

“We adore chaos because we love to produce order.”
— M.C. Escher

My connection with art and design began at an early age, with weekly classes on Saturday mornings at the Toledo Museum of Art in Toledo, Ohio. The variety of pieces within the collection opened my eyes to differing styles and aesthetic sensitivities around the world. I was also the beneficiary of the tremendous arts curriculum provided by Sylvania Schools and design methodologies from Bowling Green State University and University of Cincinnati—gaining further awareness and experience with art and design.

I’ve come to see that my work in the fine arts and my professional practice are in constant conversation with each other. Each shapes and strengthens the other. Art is never about playing it safe. It’s about stepping beyond the familiar. When we take creative risks, we open ourselves to the possibility that there isn’t just one right answer, but many.

I continue to create artwork—focusing primarily on acrylic painting and landscape photography—a selection of which is displayed below. Most recently, I have delved into the world of Artificial Intelligence and exploring artwork generators.

The Toledo Museum of Art was established in 1901 to share the transformative power of art with the community. More than 30,000 artworks are housed in architecturally significant buildings on our 37-acre campus. Innovative and extensive education programs offer a variety of multi-sensory experiences for every visitor. Thanks to the generous spirit of the museum’s founders and the continued support of members, TMA remains a privately endowed, non-profit institution. The collection is open to the public, free of charge.
