I am committed to lifelong learning through intellectual, creative and
personal growth—always striving to inspire the next generation of creatives.

I have been a practicing design and marketing professional for over 30 years and have worked as an adjunct educator for over 15 years with roles at Miami University, University of Cincinnati and University of Louisville. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design from Bowling Green State University, as well as a Master of Design (MDes) from the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) at University of Cincinnati.

  • While at UC, I chaired the university-wide faculty Innovation Council, coordinated a comprehensive Faculty Innovation Workgroup initiative through UC Forward and co-instructed multiple sections of a multidisciplinary undergraduate course—offered through the UC Honors Program.
  • Currently, I teach Design Principles and Business of Creativity through the UC Digital Media Collaborative.
  • At University of Louisville, I rewrote the advanced packaging design course—providing the opportunity for students to learn the role of packaging within the visual identity of a brand and the competitive marketplace. Focus was upon unmet consumer needs, design strategy and branded communication.
  • At Miami University, I have taught multiple sections of Introduction to Design, Business of Design, Image Making and Senior Thesis within the College of Creative Arts.
  • Also at Miami, I developed and hosted a “Creative, Design & Marketing” panel discussion for students within the College of Creative Arts, Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies, and Farmer School of Business—featuring eleven Cincinnati-based practicing professionals with diverse backgrounds and skillsets. Students gained perspective from the experiences and varied career paths of the panelists, as well as how design is valued within business.
  • In addition to the courses I’ve taught, I have frequently supported other courses as a guest lecturer.
