Emotional Intelligence
Journalist Germany Kent once said, “If you do not have control over your mouth, you will not have control over your future.”
#AI Artificial intelligence image generation has been notoriously bad at effectively portraying emotion. Many of my own initial attempts at creating realistic portraits were less than believable. The mouths just weren’t right. Using “smile” as a prompt resulted in something akin to the Joker in Batman. AI seems to interpret emotions in the extreme, but without any emotional prompts, the faces looked lifeless or too serious. Life isn’t always serious, right?
So these images represent my first serious exploration into controlling emotion. No, not my own—the emotion of future generations.
