Designing and Evolving Curriculum for Creative Education

Hite Art Institute, Adjunct Faculty

I have been a member of the Adjunct Faculty with the Hite Art Institute, Department of Art at University of Louisville–most recently teaching the packaging studio course.

The Communication Art & Design studio art track is a professional preparatory program leading to the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. It is intended to prepare students to eventually assume leadership positions in the field of graphic design. The Communication Art & Design program at the Hite Art Institute is focused on three aspects: conceptual development, compositional eloquence, and technical proficiency.

  • Rewritten in 2014, this advanced course provides the opportunity for students to learn the role of packaging within the visual identity of a brand and the competitive marketplace.
  • Focus is upon unmet consumer needs, design strategy and branded communication.
